Capitola Fun in the Sun
This was a painting I did for the Capitola Begonia Festival fundraiser again. I wish I would have scanned it for reproduction but I donated it as a one of a kind and it brought more money into the Festival fund that way. It was a remake of an old postcard from the Capitola Museum. This was also my first attempt at painting waves and sand. Also, one of the fun things about this was that the postcard was black and white so I got to paint whatever colors I wanted. I know I can do that with everything but I take everything so literal that I will often try to match a color to. I almost prefer painting from black and white now as it pushes me to be more creative.
